City, County, State, Port -- Plans for Whiskey Island
In 1988 the City of Cleveland approved a
plan for Whiskey Island
that would enhance its value as a public park.
In 1995, the present owner, Whiskey Island Partners, executed
an agreement with the State and with the City of Cleveland
that would provide public access to Whiskey Island.
In 1998, another public body, the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority,
proposed a very different future
for Whiskey Island...
In 2002, the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission presented
two plans that impact Whiskey Island
